حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيَّ يَقُولُ عُرِضْنَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ فَكَانَ مَنْ أَنْبَتَ قُتِلَ وَلَمْ يُنْبِتْ خُلِّيَ سَبِيلُهُ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ لَمْ يُنْبِتْ فَخُلِّيَ سَبِيلِي.

Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, who said: I heard 'Atiyyah al-Qurazi say: We were presented before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the day of Qurayzah, and whoever had grown pubic hair was killed, and whoever had not was released. I was among those who had not grown it, so I was released.
