حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْحَمْرَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِالْحَزْوَرَةِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ يَقُولُ لِمَكَّةَ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكِ لَأَخْيَرُ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim told us: My father told us, from Salih, who said: Ibn Shihab said: Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman informed me that 'Abdullah ibn 'Adiyy ibn al-Hamra' informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was standing at al-Hazwarah in Makkah, saying to Makkah: By Allah, you are indeed the best of Allah's lands and the most beloved of Allah's lands to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and had I not been driven out of you, I would not have left.
