حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا نَامَ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى خَدِّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ.

Abu Dawud al-Hafari told us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara', who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he lay down to sleep, would put his hand on his cheek, then say, "O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day You resurrect Your servants."
