حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَرُبَّمَا أَتَى عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّهْرُ يَظَلُّ يَتَلَوَّى مَا يَشْبَعُ مِنْ الدَّقَلِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdur-Razzaq narrated to us: Isra'il informed us, from Simak, that he heard al-Nu'man ibn Bashir delivering a sermon and saying: I praise Allah, Exalted - for a whole month would sometimes pass over the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during which he would continue writhing from hunger, not having his fill of coarse dates.
