حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ شَهِدَ لِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَلَى أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَنَاخَ وَأَنَاخَ أَصْحَابُهُ قَالَ فَبَرَزَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ لَهُ رُومِيَّةٌ ضَيِّقَةُ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَذَهَبَ يُخْرِجُ يَدَيْهِ فَضَاقَتَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ قَالَ ثُمَّ صَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَهْوَيْتُ لِأَنْزِعَهُمَا فَقَالَ لَا إِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُهُمَا وَهُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ قَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ فَشَهِدَ لِي عُرْوَةُ عَلَى أَبِيهِ شَهِدَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us, Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq told us — I heard it from al-Sha'bi — who said: Urwah ibn al-Mughirah testified to me about his father, that his father testified to him about the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, that he was on a journey and made his mount kneel, and his companions made their mounts kneel. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went off to relieve himself, then came back, and I brought him a water-skin. He was wearing a Byzantine cloak with tight sleeves, and he went to bring his hands out, but they were too tight, so he brought them out from under the cloak. Then I poured water for him and he performed ablution. When he reached his leather socks I bent down to remove them, but he said, "No, I put them on while they were pure." He said: So he performed ablution and wiped over them. Al-Sha'bi said: Urwah testified to me about his father, that his father testified to him about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
