حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَتِمَّ قَائِمًا فَلْيَجْلِسْ وَإِذَا اسْتَتَمَّ قَائِمًا فَلَا يَجْلِسْ وَيَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيْ السَّهْوِ.

Hajjaj told us: I heard Sufyan, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shibl, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you stands up but has not fully risen to standing, let him sit; but if he has fully risen to standing, let him not sit, and let him perform the two prostrations of forgetfulness."
