حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ بِحُجْزَةِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ فَقَالَ يَا سُفْيَانُ لَا تُسْبِلْ إِزَارَكَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْبِلِينَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid told us, Sharik ibn Abdullah informed us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Husayn ibn Uqbah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, take hold of the waist-wrap of Sufyan ibn Sahl al-Thaqafi and say, "O Sufyan, do not let your lower garment trail below your ankles, for God does not love those who let their garments trail."
