Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from Abdullah ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father, from his grandfather, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said — "Let none of you take the belongings of his companion, whether seriously or in jest, and if any of you finds the staff of his companion, let him return it to him."
