حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خَبِيبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى قَالَ كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي فَدَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ أُجِبْهُ حَتَّى صَلَّيْتُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي قَالَ أَلَمْ يَقُلْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ } ثُمَّ قَالَ لَأُعَلِّمَنَّكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ قُلْتَ لَأُعَلِّمَنَّكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ نَعَمْ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ هِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, saying: Khubayb ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, from Hafs ibn Asim, from Abu Sa'id ibn al-Mu'alla, who said: I was praying when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called me, but I did not answer him until I had finished praying, then I came to him. He said: 'What kept you from coming to me?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I was praying.' He said: 'Did not Allah, Mighty and Sublime, say: {O you who believe, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you}?' Then he said: 'I shall teach you the greatest surah in the Qur'an — or of the Qur'an — before you leave the mosque.' He said: So he took my hand, and when he was about to leave the mosque, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you said you would teach me the greatest surah in the Qur'an.' He said: 'Yes — Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds; it is the seven oft-repeated verses and the Magnificent Qur'an that I have been given.'
