حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هَانِئٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ لِلنَّاسِ مَا أَبْعَدَ هَدْيَكُمْ مِنْ هَدْيِ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّا هُوَ فَأَزْهَدُ النَّاسِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَأَرْغَبُ النَّاسِ فِيهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Salamah al-Khuza'i narrated to us, saying: Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Hani' say: I heard Ali ibn Rabah say: I heard Amr ibn al-'As say, while he was on the pulpit, to the people: 'How far your guidance is from the guidance of your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him! As for him, he was the most detached of people from this world, but as for you, you are the most desirous of people for it.'
