حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ فَاتِكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَدَلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ إِشْرَاكًا بِاللَّهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنْ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ }.

Marwan ibn Mu'awiya al-Fazari told us; Sufyan ibn Ziyad informed us, from Fatik ibn Fadala, from Ayman ibn Khuraym, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up delivering a sermon and said: "O people, false testimony has been made equivalent to associating partners with Allah" — three times — then he recited: 'So avoid the abomination of idols, and avoid false speech.'
