Abd al-Samad told us, from Hisham, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Ibrahim, from his father, that he told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say in the prayer over the dead: 'O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those of us who are present and those who are absent, our males and our females, our young and our old.'
