حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ حَدَّثَهُ مُؤَذِّنُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَوْمِ مَطَرٍ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ.

Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Shu'bah informed me, from Amr ibn Dinar, from Amr ibn Aws, from a man to whom the muezzin of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, related this: he said: The caller of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called out on a rainy day: Pray in your dwellings.
