حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَلَاذٍ عَنْ نُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَسْرُوحٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نِعْمَ الْحَيُّ الْأَسَدُ وَالْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ لَا يَفِرُّونَ فِي الْقِتَالِ وَلَا يَغُلُّونَ هُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ قَالَ عَامِرٌ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ هَكَذَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا قَالَ هُمْ مِنِّي وَإِلَيَّ فَقُلْتُ لَيْسَ هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِنَّهُ قَالَ هُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ قَالَ فَأَنْتَ إِذًا أَعْلَمُ بِحَدِيثِ أَبِيكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Wahb ibn Jarir told us: my father told us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Malath, from Numayr ibn Aws, from Malik ibn Masruh, from Amir ibn Abi Amir al-Ash'ari, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: What an excellent tribe are Asad and the Ash'ariyyun; they do not flee in battle, nor do they steal from the spoils; they are of me and I am of them. Amir said: I related this to Mu'awiyah, and he said: That is not what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said; he only said: They are of me and unto me. I said: That is not what my father told me from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him; rather he said: They are of me and I am of them. He said: Then you know your father's hadith better.
