حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سُفْيَانَ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَامِعٍ عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْضِبُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ وَكَانَ شَعْرُهُ يَبْلُغُ كَتِفَيْهِ أَوْ مَنْكِبَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبْجَرَ عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّمِيمِيِّ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَبِي وَلَهُ لِمَّةٌ بِهَا رَدْعٌ مِنْ حِنَّاءٍ وَذَكَرَهُ.

Abdullah told us: Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Mukharrimi told us: Abu Sufyan al-Himyari, Sa'id ibn Yahya, told us, he said: al-Dahhak ibn Hamza told us, from Ghaylan ibn Jami', from Iyad ibn Laqit, from Abu Rimtha, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to dye his hair with henna and katam, and his hair reached his shoulders or his shoulder-blades. Abdullah told us: Muhammad ibn al-Ala' Abu Kurayb al-Hamdani told us: Ibn Idris told us, he said: I heard Ibn Abjar, from Iyad ibn Laqit, from Abu Rimtha al-Tamimi, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with my father, and he had long hair with a trace of henna on it.
