حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعْدٍ الْأَعْمَى يُحَدِّثُ عَطَاءً قَالَ رَحَلَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ إِلَى عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ فَأَتَى مَسْلَمَةَ بْنَ مَخْلَدٍ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ دُلُّونِي فَأَتَى عُقْبَةَ فَقَالَ حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَبْقَ أَحَدٌ سَمِعَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَتَرَ عَلَى مُؤْمِنٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَتَى رَاحِلَتَهُ فَرَكِبَ وَرَجَعَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sufyan told us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: I heard Abu Sa'd al-A'ma narrating to Ata, who said: Abu Ayyub journeyed to Uqbah ibn Amir. He came to Maslamah ibn Mukhallad, who came out to him. He said: Direct me (to him). So he went to Uqbah and said: Tell us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him — no one who heard it remains. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever conceals (the fault of) a believer in this world, Allah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection. Then he went to his mount, rode it, and returned.
