Waki' narrated to us, from Musa ibn 'Ali, from his father, who said: I heard 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir al-Juhani say: There were three times during which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to forbid us to pray or to bury our dead: when the sun rises, gleaming, until it is fully up; when the sun stands at its zenith at midday, until it declines; and when the sun draws near to setting, until it sets.
