حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ آيَاتٌ لَمْ أَرَ مِثْلَهُنَّ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَهُمَا.

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid told us, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, from 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir al-Juhani, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Verses were sent down to me the like of which I have never seen" - the two refuge-seeking surahs - then he recited them.
