حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَاقُو الْعَدُوِّ غَدًا وَلَيْسَتْ مَعَنَا مُدًى قَالَ أَعْجِلْ أَوْ أَرِنْ مَا أَنْهَرَ الدَّمَ وَذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فَكُلْ لَيْسَ السِّنَّ وَالظُّفُرَ وَسَأُحَدِّثُكَ أَمَّا السِّنُّ فَعَظْمٌ وَأَمَّا الظُّفُرُ فَمُدَى الْحَبَشَةِ قَالَ وَأَصَابَنَا نَهْبُ إِبِلٍ وَغَنَمٍ فَنَدَّ مِنْهَا بَعِيرٌ فَرَمَاهَا رَجُلٌ بِسَهْمٍ فَحَبَسَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لَهَذِهِ الْإِبِلِ أَوَابِدَ كَأَوَابِدِ الْوَحْشِ فَإِذَا غَلَبَكُمْ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَافْعَلُوا بِهِ هَكَذَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya narrated to us, from Sufyan, who said: my father narrated to me, from Abaya b. Rifa'a b. Rafi' b. Khadij, from his grandfather Rafi' b. Khadij, who said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we will meet the enemy tomorrow, and we have no knives.' He said: 'Hasten it, or make it flow - whatever causes the blood to flow, and Allah's name is mentioned over it, eat it, except the tooth and the claw, and I will tell you why: as for the tooth, it is bone, and as for the claw, it is the knife of the Abyssinians.'" He said: "And we came upon plunder of camels and sheep, and a camel bolted from it, so a man shot it with an arrow and it was thereby restrained. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'These camels have unruly ones like the unruly ones among wild game; so whatever of them overwhelms you, do to it likewise.'"
