Abu Ahmad narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from his father Malik, who said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, a man whom I pass by does not offer me hospitality nor host me - then he passes by me, should I repay him in kind?' He said: 'No, rather host him.'" He said: "He saw me looking shabby, so he said: 'Do you have any wealth?' I said: 'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has given me of all kinds of wealth, of camels and sheep.' He said: 'Then let the mark of Allah's favor upon you be seen.'"
