حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِغِذَاءِ السَّحَرِ فَإِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغِذَاءُ الْمُبَارَكُ.

Attab narrated to us: Abdullah, meaning Ibn al-Mubarak, narrated to us: Baqiyya b. al-Walid narrated to us: Bahir b. Sa'd narrated to us, from Khalid b. Ma'dan, from al-Miqdam b. Ma'dikarib, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "Take to the pre-dawn meal, for it is the blessed meal."
