حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَبُو الْيَمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي شَدَّادُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ وَعُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ حَاضِرٌ يُصَدِّقُهُ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ غَرِيبٌ يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ فَقُلْنَا لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَأَمَرَ بِغَلْقِ الْبَابِ وَقَالَ ارْفَعُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَرَفَعْنَا أَيْدِيَنَا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ وَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ بَعَثْتَنِي بِهَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةِ وَأَمَرْتَنِي بِهَا وَوَعَدْتَنِي عَلَيْهَا الْجَنَّةَ وَإِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ غَفَرَ لَكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Hakam ibn Nafi', Abu al-Yaman, narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Rashid ibn Dawud, from Ya'la ibn Shaddad, who said: My father Shaddad ibn Aws narrated to me, while Ubada ibn al-Samit was present confirming him, he said: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: Is there a stranger among you, meaning one of the People of the Book? We said: No, O Messenger of Allah. So he ordered the door closed and said: Raise your hands and say: There is no god but Allah. So we raised our hands for a while. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, lowered his hand and said: Praise be to Allah. O Allah, You sent me with this word and commanded me with it, and promised me Paradise for it, and indeed You do not break Your promise. Then he said: Rejoice, for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has forgiven you.
