حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَتَأَخَّرُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ مَخَافَةَ فُلَانٍ يَعْنِي إِمَامَهُمْ قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشَدَّ غَضَبًا فِي مَوْعِظَةٍ مِنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُنَفِّرِينَ فَأَيُّكُمْ مَا صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid narrated to us, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim, from Abu Mas'ud, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I hold back from attending the morning prayer because of so-and-so" - meaning their imam. He said: I never saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, more intensely angry in an exhortation than he was that day. He said, "O people, some of you cause aversion. So whichever of you leads the people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the weak, the elderly, and those with pressing needs."
