حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُجَمِّعُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ كُنْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ وَهُوَ مُسْتَقْبِلُ الْمُؤَذِّنِ وَكَبَّرَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَكَبَّرَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَشَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَشَهِدَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَشَهِدَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَشَهِدَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ya'la and Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, saying: Mujammi' ibn Yahya al-Ansari narrated to us, who said: I was beside Abu Umama ibn Sahl while he faced the muezzin. The muezzin said the takbir twice, and Abu Umama said the takbir twice; he testified 'there is no god but Allah' twice, and Abu Umama repeated it twice; the muezzin testified 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah' twice, and Abu Umama repeated it twice. Then he turned to me and said: 'This is how Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan related to me, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.'
