قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ تَذَاكَرْنَا غُسْلَ الْجَنَابَةِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَّا أَنَا فَآخُذُ مِلْءَ كَفِّي ثَلَاثًا فَأَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي ثُمَّ أُفِيضُ بَعْدُ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِي.

He said: Hujayn ibn al-Muthanna told us, he said: Isra'il told us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sulayman ibn Surad, from Jubayr ibn Mut'im, who said: We discussed the ritual bath for major impurity in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: As for me, I take a handful of water three times and pour it over my head, then I pour water over the rest of my body afterward.
