قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ مُنَادِيَهُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ أَنَّ مَنْ كَانَ اصْطَبَحَ فَلْيُمْسِكْ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ اصْطَبَحَ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: Safwan ibn 'Isa narrated to us, who said: Yazid - meaning Ibn Abi 'Ubayd - informed us, from Salamah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered his announcer on the day of 'Ashura' [to proclaim]: "Whoever has had his morning meal should refrain [from further eating], and whoever has not had his morning meal should complete his fast."
