قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ فَتَوَجَّهَ الْقِبْلَةَ يَدْعُو وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ فِيهِمَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَعَتَّابٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْجُحْفَةِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ حَسَنٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَاءٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ فَضْلِ يَدِهِ.

He said: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, who said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Abbad ibn Tamim, from his uncle, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out and faced the qiblah supplicating, and reversed his cloak, then prayed two rak'ahs, reciting aloud in them. He said: 'Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, who said: 'Abdullah and 'Attab informed us, who said: 'Abdullah - meaning Ibn al-Mubarak - narrated to us, who said: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, who said: Habban ibn Wasi' narrated to us, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn 'Asim al-Mazini, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, perform ablution at al-Juhfah, and he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Hasan, except that he said: he wiped his head with water other than the leftover water of his hand.
