Avoid the gatherings on the roadsides.'" He said: We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we sit there for no harm - we discuss matters and converse." He said: "Then give the gatherings their due." We said: "And what is their due?" He said: "Lowering the gaze, returning the greeting, and good speech."
