حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْخَنْدَقِ وَرَجُلٌ يَتَتَرَّسُ جَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِالتُّرْسِ هَكَذَا فَوَضَعَهُ فَوْقَ أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا يُسَفِّلُهُ بَعْدُ قَالَ فَأَهْوَيْتُ إِلَى كِنَانَتِي فَأَخْرَجْتُ مِنْهَا سَهْمًا مُدَمًّا فَوَضَعْتُهُ فِي كَبِدِ الْقَوْسِ فَلَمَّا قَالَ هَكَذَا يُسَفِّلُ التُّرْسَ رَمَيْتُ فَمَا نَسِيتُ وَقْعَ الْقِدْحِ عَلَى كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ التُّرْسِ قَالَ وَسَقَطَ فَقَالَ بِرِجْلِهِ فَضَحِكَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِمَ قَالَ لِفِعْلِ الرَّجُلِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sa'd said: On the Day of the Trench (Khandaq), there was a man using a shield. He would raise the shield above his nose, then lower it. I reached into my quiver and pulled out a blood-stained arrow and placed it in the middle of my bow. When he lowered the shield, I shot and I never forgot the impact of the arrow on such and such part of the shield. He fell and raised his leg, and the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) laughed — I think he said — until his molars could be seen. I asked why, and he said: 'Because of what the man did.'
