حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَلِصَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ.

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Thabit, from Mutarrif, from his father, who said: I came up to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was praying, and there was a sound in his chest like the bubbling of a boiling pot.
