حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَنَخَّعَ فَدَلَكَهَا بِنَعْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى.

Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-'Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from his father, that he prayed with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he spat, then rubbed it with his left sandal.
