قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ شَيْبَانَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ وَافِدًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَصَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَحَ بِمُؤْخِرِ عَيْنَيْهِ إِلَى رَجُلٍ لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِنَّهُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ قَالَ وَرَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ فَوَقَفَ حَتَّى انْصَرَفَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَقْبِلْ صَلَاتَكَ فَلَا صَلَاةَ لِرَجُلٍ فَرْدٍ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ فَرْدًا خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّقَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَدْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَذَكَرَهُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ السُّحَيْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي فَذَكَرَهُ.

He said: 'Abd al-Samad and Surayj told us: Mulazim ibn 'Amr told us: 'Abd Allah ibn Badr told us, that 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Ali told him, that his father 'Ali ibn Shayban told him that he went out as a delegate to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: We prayed behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he glanced from the corner of his eye at a man who was not straightening his back in bowing and prostration. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, finished, he said: O company of Muslims, there is no prayer for one who does not straighten his back in bowing and prostration. He said: And he saw a man praying behind the row, so he waited until the man finished, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Repeat your prayer, for there is no prayer for a man praying alone behind the row. 'Abd al-Samad said: alone behind the row. 'Abd al-Samad told us: My father told me: Abu 'Abd Allah al-Shaqari told us: 'Amr ibn Jabir told me, from 'Abd Allah ibn Badr, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Ali ibn Shayban, from his father — and he mentioned it. Yazid ibn Harun told us: Ayyub ibn 'Utbah informed us: 'Abd Allah ibn Badr told us: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Ali ibn Shayban al-Suhaymi told us: My father told me — and he mentioned it.
