حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُلَازِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَأَطْلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِزَارَهُ فَطَارَقَ بِهِ رِدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ كُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ.

Abd al-Samad told us: Mulazim told us: 'Abd Allah ibn Badr told us, from Qays ibn Talq, from his father, that he asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about praying in a single garment. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, then loosened his lower wrap and joined it over his upper garment, then stood and prayed. When he finished the prayer, he said: Does each of you have two garments?
