حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ السَّائِبِ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ عَبْدَ الْمُنْذِرِ لَمَّا تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي وَأُسَاكِنَكَ وَأَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي صَدَقَةً لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلِرَسُولِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ الثُّلُثُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Rawh told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, Ibn Shihab told me that al-Husayn ibn al-Sa'ib ibn Abi Lubabah informed him that when Allah accepted the repentance of Abu Lubabah 'Abd al-Mundhir, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, part of my repentance to Allah, Mighty and Sublime, is that I abandon the home of my people and dwell with you, and that I divest myself of my wealth as charity for the sake of Allah, Mighty and Sublime, and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "A third of it will suffice for you."
