Abu Bakr b. Ayyash narrated to us: Asim b. Abi al-Najud narrated to us, from al-Harith b. Hassan al-Bakri, who said: We came to Madinah, and there was the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, upon the pulpit, and Bilal standing before him, girded with the sword, before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and there were black banners. I asked, "What are these banners?" They said, "Amr b. al-As has arrived from a military expedition."
