حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرًا سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلَا نَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ فَتَرَكْنَاهُ.

Sufyan told us, saying: I heard Amr; he heard Ibn Umar say: "We used to practice muhabarah [a form of sharecropping] and saw no harm in it, until Rafi' ibn Khadij claimed that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it, so we gave it up."
