حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ لَمَّا تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يُنْجِنِي إِلَّا بِالصِّدْقِ وَإِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي إِلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لَا أَكْذِبَ أَبَدًا وَإِنِّي أَنْخَلِعُ مِنْ مَالِي صَدَقَةً لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى وَرَسُولِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ بَعْضَ مَالِكَ فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ قَالَ فَإِنِّي أُمْسِكُ سَهْمِي مِنْ خَيْبَرَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Rawh told us: Ibn Jurayj told us, saying: Ibn Shihab informed me, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, that Ka'b ibn Malik, when Allah accepted his repentance, came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "Allah has saved me only through truthfulness, and part of my repentance to Allah is that I will never lie again, and I wish to give up my property as charity to Allah, Exalted, and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "Keep some of your property for yourself, for that is better for you." He said: "Then I will keep my share from Khaybar."
