حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ عَنْ زَبَّانَ عَنْ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْهُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ انْطَلَقَ زَوْجِي غَازِيًا وَكُنْتُ أَقْتَدِي بِصَلَاتِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى وَبِفِعْلِهِ كُلِّهِ فَأَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُبْلِغُنِي عَمَلَهُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَتَسْتَطِيعِينَ أَنْ تَقُومِي وَلَا تَقْعُدِي وَتَصُومِي وَلَا تُفْطِرِي وَتَذْكُرِي اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَلَا تَفْتُرِي حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ قَالَتْ مَا أُطِيقُ هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ طُوِّقْتِيهِ مَا بَلَغْتِ الْعُشْرَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
A woman came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my husband has gone out as a warrior, and I used to follow his prayer when he prayed and all of his deeds. Tell me of a deed that will equal his until he returns.' He said to her: 'Can you stand without sitting, fast without breaking your fast, and remember Allah the Blessed and Exalted without stopping until he returns?' She said: 'I cannot do this, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, even if you were able to do all of that, you would not reach a tenth of his deed until he returns.'
