حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قَالَ أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ شَبَبَةٌ مُتَقَارِبُونَ فَأَقَمْنَا مَعَهُ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَحِيمًا رَفِيقًا فَظَنَّ أَنَّا قَدْ اشْتَقْنَا أَهْلَنَا فَسَأَلَنَا عَمَّنْ تَرَكْنَا فِي أَهْلِنَا فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ فَقَالَ ارْجِعُوا إِلَى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا فِيهِمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَمُرُوهُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Malik ibn al-Huwairith said: 'We came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as young men of similar age, and we stayed with him for twenty nights. The Messenger of Allah was merciful and kind. He thought that we missed our families, so he asked us about whom we had left behind. We told him, and he said: Return to your families, stay among them, and teach them. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer, then let the eldest of you lead the prayer.'
