حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالشُّفْعَةِ فِي كُلِّ مَا لَمْ يُقْسَمْ فَإِذَا وَقَعَتْ الْحُدُودُ وَصُرِّفَتْ الطُّرُقُ فَلَا شُفْعَةَ.

Affan told us, Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad told us, Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ruled that the right of pre-emption applies to everything that has not yet been divided; but once the boundaries are set and the paths separated, there is no pre-emption.
