حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الصَّاغَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُيَسَّرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُخَابَرَةِ وَأَنْ يُبَاعَ الثَّمَرُ حَتَّى يُطْعَمَ إِلَّا بِدَنَانِيرَ أَوْ دَرَاهِمَ إِلَّا الْعَرَايَا.

Abu Sa'd al-Saghani, Muhammad ibn Muyassar, told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade muhaqalah, muzabanah, and mukhabarah, and that fruit be sold before it ripens, except for dinars or dirhams, except in the case of the small exempted exchanges (araya).
