حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا صَفَرَ وَلَا غُولَ و سَمِعْت أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ جَابِرًا فَسَّرَ لَهُمْ قَوْلَهُ لَا صَفَرَ فَقَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ الصَّفَرُ الْبَطْنُ قِيلَ لِجَابِرٍ كَيْفَ هَذَا الْقَوْلُ فَقَالَ دَوَابُّ الْبَطْنِ قَالَ وَلَمْ يُفَسِّرْ الْغُولَ قَالَ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ هَذَا الْغُولُ الشَّيْطَانَةُ الَّتِي يَقُولُونَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Rawh told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me, that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no contagion, no safar, and no ghoul. And I heard Abu al-Zubayr mention that Jabir explained to them his saying no safar, and Abu al-Zubayr said: Safar is a worm in the belly. Jabir was asked: How is this saying? He said: Creatures of the belly. He said: he did not explain the ghoul. Abu al-Zubayr said, on his own: this ghoul is the she-devil that people speak of.
