حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَلْيَتَسَحَّرْ بِشَيْءٍ.

Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri told us, Sharik told us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Jabir, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Whoever intends to fast, let him take the pre-dawn meal, even with something small.
