حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْوَرَّاقُ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ جَارِيَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَتَى ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْزِلِي شَاسِعٌ وَأَنَا مَكْفُوفُ الْبَصَرِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ الْأَذَانَ قَالَ فَإِنْ سَمِعْتَ الْأَذَانَ فَأَجِبْ وَلَوْ حَبْوًا أَوْ زَحْفًا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Isma'il ibn Aban al-Warraq Abu Ishaq told us, Ya'qub told us, Isa ibn Jariyah informed us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: Ibn Umm Maktum came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, my dwelling is far off, and I am blind, yet I hear the call to prayer. He said: If you hear the call, then respond, even if by crawling or dragging yourself.
