حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ أَبُو الْحَكَمِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ لَيْلًا فَلَا يَأْتِ أَهْلَهُ طُرُوقًا كَيْ تَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ وَتَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ.

Hashim told us, Shu'bah told us, Sayyar Abu al-Hakam told us, who said: I heard al-Sha'bi relate from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you enters at night, let him not come upon his family unannounced, so that the woman whose husband is away may have time to remove her body hair, and the disheveled woman may comb her hair."
