حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ صَبْرًا.

Muhammad ibn Bakr told us: Ibn Jurayj told us: Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Umayr informed me that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Ammar informed him that Jabir ibn Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade that any animal be killed while bound and held still.
