الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sufyan told us: Amr heard Jabir say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us in a party of three hundred riders, our commander being Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah. We stayed on the coast until our provisions ran out, so that we ate pounded tree-leaves. Then the sea cast up a creature called al-'Anbar, and we ate from it for half a month until our bodies recovered. Abu Ubaydah took one of its ribs and set it up, and looked at the tallest camel and it passed beneath it. And a man used to portion out three carcasses' worth of the meat, then three more, then three more, until Abu Ubaydah forbade him.
