Sufyan told us, from Ibn al-Munkadir, that he heard Jabir say: My father was brought on the day of Uhud and placed before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, covered with a shroud. I set about wanting to uncover his face, but my people forbade me. He heard a woman weeping — he said once, the voice of a wailing woman — and he said, "Who is this?" They said, "The daughter of Amr," or "the sister of Amr." He said, "Why is she weeping?" or he said, "Are you weeping?" And the angels continued shading him with their wings until he was raised up.
