حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرٌ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُنْبَذَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked about the one who gives charity and seeks praise — is that considered showing off? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'No, but whoever acts for Allah and people see it, that is not showing off. And whoever acts seeking the praise of people, that is showing off.'
