حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَعُودُهُ وَقَدْ صَارَ كَالْفَرْخِ فَقَالَ لَهُ هَلْ سَأَلْتَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا كُنْتَ مُعَاقِبِي بِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَعَجِّلْهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا طَاقَةَ لَكَ بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ هَلَّا قُلْتَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas was asked about the qunut (supplication) in prayer. He said: 'Yes.' He was asked: 'Was it before bowing or after?' He said: 'Before bowing.' It was said to him: 'So-and-so informed us that you said it was after bowing.' He said: 'He is mistaken. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) only performed qunut after bowing for a month. He had sent about seventy men — called the Qurra (Reciters) — to some polytheists who had a pact with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The polytheists broke the pact and killed them. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed qunut for a month after bowing, supplicating against them.'
